The first 10X Water Summit was held at the Water Campus near downtown Baton Rouge on the Mississippi River. Rising on 35 acres, the Campus is a place for science organizations, university researchers, private businesses and government agencies to collaborate on global water issues.
The centerpiece is the Center for Coastal and Deltaic Solutions, an iconic facility overlooking the mighty Mississippi that is headquarters to The Water Institute of the Gulf and topped off with a state-of-the-art conference center. The Campus is also home to the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority and the LSU Center for River Studies, which includes a 10,000-square-foot, interactive physical model of the lower Mississippi River.
