Curtis Richardson

Mayor Pro-tem of the City of Tallahassee

Mr. Richardson is Mayor Pro-tem of the City of Tallahassee. He has serve the public for nearly three decades, starting with an election win in 1990 to the Leon County School board. In 2000, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives by the voters of District 8, encompassing parts of Leon and Gadsden counties. He worked for the Florida Department of Education in several capacities, including Interim Executive Director of the Commission on Education Reform and Accountability. In 1995, the late Governor Lawton Chiles appointed him Deputy Director of Cabinet Affairs. Mr. Richardson is a graduate of Florida State University, from which he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in in psychology.
